Love at Second Sight
Do you believe in love at second sight? Maybe? Believe it now
because I had one. I experienced love the second time around. A love not meant
to last but to be remembered forever.
The first time my sister introduced me to her I was neither mesmerized nor amazed of how she looks like. I thought I have seen a lot like her where I came from. I took her for granted that time because one week is not enough to know her more. It's really not love at first sight for us.
Time passed by and she was almost out of my life until one day I heard her name again. My sister wanted me to see her and I took the chance to meet her the second time around. I felt like it is different. I always take a pause to appreciate what she can offer me.
She accompanied me to many of her wonderful places. I got the chance to visit her temple, Cao Dai temple. I was speechless on its architectural structure. You can really see how it was planned carefully and every details have it's own meaning. Religion is very evident to her.

One thing that connects us is we both love to ride motorbike. I rode one of her motorbikes and I felt so safe because I knew I would always be taken cared by her.

I enjoyed the blissful wind while I was in the boat exploring
the Mekong River. Just by sitting on the boat gives me shiver in my spines and
peace of mind I never had before.

Thumbs up! The feeling can't be describe in words |
She allowed me see the Cu Chi tunnel she built while fighting those people from the west. I listened to her stories. I learned how she fought for herself. It made me see her as a strong woman. I crawled in those narrow paths to experience how it feels during that battle. It was surreal for me. That moment I wanted to believe that I’m really falling in love with her.

My memories with her will not be completed if I didn’t taste her special recipe, the Pho. What made it more special is we ate it not in a fancy restaurant but in the street. The sound made by the nature and motorbikes served as our music while eating it. I had fallen in love with her completely that time.
I also got the date with her and taste different authentic food from different country.
We used different words to describe each thing but we used the language of love and smile to understand each other.
I’ll never forget the day that I considered seeing her for the second time. I realized how simple her life maybe but she is contended with that. The innocence is all over her and I know she will always be the way she is, happy and free.
The hardest part was to say goodbye. Someday if time permits I know I’ll see her again. I’ll see this beautiful place again called Vietnam.
